David is offering new clients $15.00 off any 60 minute or longer massage through the end of May.

David’s journey with massage began at the Oregon School of Massage where he graduated in the Summer of 2009. There he studied Swedish, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point Therapy, Sports Massage, Pregnancy Massage, and Chair Massage. People who enjoy David’s work are often those who complain of pain in a specific joint or area, or say they have a "knot". He really prides himself in focusing on the core issues with his clients to gain a perspective on the whole person, and hopefully succeed in helping his clients get measureable improvement. The therapeutic value of his work also manages to bring a very relaxing touch which helps to get deeper by letting the muscles relax. More importantly than any of this, David realizes that massage is for the client, and that it should be done the way the client wants it. He will always find out what you came in for and make sure to address your needs. Along with the modalities he has studied, David spent the first year of his profession doing mostly short sessions for his clients on the head, neck, and shoulders. The rest of the work he does certainly isn’t lacking, but the attention he is able to give to these areas is very helpful since a lot of postural muscles are found here. Posture is often at the core of many chronic problems we have, and David uses this information to determine how to help his clients in the most beneficial way. Since working on core issues is at the foundation of David’s practice, it’s no surprise that helping clients rehabilitate injuries is a great interest to him. David has recently started back to school with a final goal of getting a doctorate of physical therapy at Pacific University. Helping people through expert knowledge and the gift of touch is a passion for David. It is too rare in this world that people love their careers. David loves what he does and firmly believes he can improve the lives of those around him by using massage in its various forms. David L. Whitlow III, LMT #16737
