Hi Friends of Zama
Thank you for the many years of supporting Zama Massage. I'm happy to announce that I, Lynn Bukowski, Founder of Zama Massage, have brought on a business partner, Genevra Cardoso.
We are also happy to announce that we will be moving to a beautiful new location at 2149 NE Broadway to better serve your needs as well as offer you an ever growing list of services to give you the best massage experience you have ever had. This move will take place on March 19th, 2012.
This merger with Genevra is very exciting for me as I have always wanted a business partner to help me create and grow one of the best places for our Portland guests to receive massage services. Our goal and focus is to bring you the best pain relief treatments as well as expanding some of our services to offer more skin care treatments that will be geared toward health and wellness.
One sneak peek service that we will be introducing to our Zama guests are Far-Infrared Heat Therapies, these treatments free the body of muscle and joint pain as well as detoxify. We invite you to experience our new services at our new location starting on March 19th, 2012. Keep your eyes peeled for future news on the new location as well as a special gift to all of our valued guests.

David’s journey with massage began at the Oregon School of Massage where he graduated in the Summer of 2009. There he studied Swedish, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point Therapy, Sports Massage, Pregnancy Massage, and Chair Massage. People who enjoy David’s work are often those who complain of pain in a specific joint or area, or say they have a "knot". He really prides himself in focusing on the core issues with his clients to gain a perspective on the whole person, and hopefully succeed in helping his clients get measureable improvement. The therapeutic value of his work also manages to bring a very relaxing touch which helps to get deeper by letting the muscles relax. More importantly than any of this, David realizes that massage is for the client, and that it should be done the way the client wants it. He will always find out what you came in for and make sure to address your needs. Along with the modalities he has studied, David spent the first year of his profession doing mostly short sessions for his clients on the head, neck, and shoulders. The rest of the work he does certainly isn’t lacking, but the attention he is able to give to these areas is very helpful since a lot of postural muscles are found here. Posture is often at the core of many chronic problems we have, and David uses this information to determine how to help his clients in the most beneficial way. Since working on core issues is at the foundation of David’s practice, it’s no surprise that helping clients rehabilitate injuries is a great interest to him. David has recently started back to school with a final goal of getting a doctorate of physical therapy at Pacific University. Helping people through expert knowledge and the gift of touch is a passion for David. It is too rare in this world that people love their careers. David loves what he does and firmly believes he can improve the lives of those around him by using massage in its various forms. David L. Whitlow III, LMT #16737
